CUSD Volunteer Clearance Process

• UPDATE: We are moving back to the old process (Raptor).

If you have already completed the volunteer process recently, even if it was for another school, team, or group, email us at notes@becmusic.org so we can check on your status.

All non-employees who will volunteer with students must complete this process.

1. Complete the TB Risk Assessment.

   • Complete the form linked below online. At the end of the form, select: BUCHANAN HIGH SCHOOL (mallorimartinez@clovisusd.k12.ca.us)

   • You do not need to go have a test done. The nurse will contact you and take care of it over the phone.

   • Click Here —> TB Assessment Form

   • When the assessment is complete, the nurse will send you a copy to upload with your volunteer application.

2. Fill out the volunteer application online through Raptor once you have the TB Assessment. —> Volunteer Application Form

   • Upload the TB assessment to your volunteer application.

3. When your application has been submitted, email us at notes@becmusic.org to let us know so we can have the application reviewed & approved.

4. Once approved, you will be sent a link to complete an online mandated reporter training.

5. Volunteer clearance is good for up to 4 years from the date of the TB Test/Assessment. You will have to complete the mandated reporting training every year.

For Overnight Trips:

Volunteers who will be in a position to directly supervise students without a paid District employee present, such as during off-campus activities, overnight events, or any activity lacking direct supervision by a paid District employee, must have fingerprint clearance and the required training certification on file.

1. You will be emailed a form that you will use to be fingerprinted. You do not need to get fingerprints if you have been fingerprinted for CUSD in the past. Please let us know if you have so we can look up your records.

2. The chaperone/volunteer applicant will follow the directions on the form and obtain fingerprints.

3. Results are usually returned within 24-48 hours. We’ll let you know when cleared.

DMV Pull Notice

If you will be driving your own vehicle or a district vehicle with students, please complete a DMV pull notice after your volunteer application has been approved and your fingerprints have been cleared.

1. Click on the link below. Enter your full name and email address. Click ‘Go to form’.

2. Close the pop-up window (use the instructions below instead).

3. For site/dept select ‘405 - Buchanan High School’ and for Employee ID Number type ‘Parent Volunteer’.

4. In section 1, add your full name, CA Driver’s License #, and click to sign the form. Click continue at the bottom.

5. For ‘Select recipient…’, choose ‘Transportation Dept (All Existing Employees Select This Option) (dmvpullother@clovisusd.k12.ca.us)’ at the bottom.

6. Click ‘Add people to notify’. Add notes@becmusic.org.

7. Click the red ‘Send to recipient’ button.
