Competition Details 

Competition Site: Save Mart Center, 2650 E Shaw Ave Fresno, CA 93710
Gates Open:
Admission: $25 for adults (18+), $20 for kids (ages 6-17), Free for senior citizens and children 5 & under
(SMC charges $4 per ticket processing fee, which is included in the prices above)

Important Reminders

• Parents: Plan to be in the building at least 30 minutes before your performance time. The SMC is a large venue and has security protocols which may delay your entrance.

• CLEAR BAG POLICY: Per arena guidelines all backpacks (clear only), purses, and bags will be searched prior to entry. Follow this link of more information: https://www.savemartcenter.com/venue-info/faq/

• Video & Audio Recording is prohibited. Out of respect for fellow audience members and spectators and to protect the rights of the original composers and copyright owners who license their music to the Buchanan Instrumental Music Program and organizations that host events we participate in, the use of audio and video recording technology - including mobile devices and live streaming applications - during and rehearsal or performance setting is strictly prohibited. This will be enforced by Save Mart Center Staff.

• No outside food or drink will be allowed in the Save Mart Center

• Spectators are welcome to sit in sections 121, 122, 123, and 124. Performers are only allowed to sit in sections 119, 120, 125, and 126.

• Only those with a ticket, a performer wristband, or a staff pass will be admitted to the Save Mart Center. No exceptions.

Packing List & Reminders

• You must provide your own transportation to & from the Save Mart Center. Meet at the Buchanan Band Truck in the parking lot to the north of the Save Mart Center.

• Hair & Makeup need to be done before arriving. If you need help with these things, plan and ask ahead of time!

• Bring your own water bottle, but avoid bringing any extra bags or loose items.

10:45m Push back to truck,
11:00am Debrief at the truck.
11:10am Group picture at the truck!
11:15am Dismissed from the Buchanan Band Truck in the Save Mart Center north parking lot. At this time, we will release guardianship. Please plan to have a ride at this time. Students are welcome to stay for performances throughout the day and eat lunch with buchanan WP at noon.

1:35pm Push to warmup zone and setup the zone (But dont start a warmup until)
1:55pm Begin Warmup in designated warmup area (Area 6, facing East) See Warmup Map
2:15pm Ensemble pit and drumline
2:35pm Last run through (pit crew should be here at this time)
2:46pm Push over to the arena
2:51pm Arrive at Tunnel
2:56pm Ready at Gate

3:17pm Fold the floor and quickly push equipment back to truck, head back to arena to watch groups
