Location: Veteran’s Memorial Stadium @ Buchanan High School
Event Begins: 2:20pm/ Kickoff @ 7:00 pm
Admission: Click here to buy tickets. (Parents of performers are NOT admitted for free!)
Spectator Parking: Lots adjacent to the stadium are $5.00. Lots that are further away are free.
Concessions: Available in the Concourse
Important Reminders
ALTA SIERRA: Wear your ASI Instrumental Music T-Shirt and Jeans to school (NO SHORTS please!). You won’t be going home after school!
If you have sports practice after school: Talk to your coaches now and let them know that you will be missing practice that day.
Bring a WATER bottle!
BUCHANAN: You are not going home after school, make sure you have everything you need for the game. No Visual Ensemble.
Alta Sierra Band Itinerary
2:20pm ASI Band Report to the ASI Bandroom. (Excused from 7th Period)
Get instruments out of cases and put cases back in your lockers.
Line up by instrument type and get seated.
2:30pm Go to sectionals at locations below with BHS Section Leaders. Work on Pep Tunes, Star-Spangled Banner, and “Hooked on a Feeling”.

Altos: ASI Bandroom
Low Saxes: ASI Bandroom/Percussion Room )
Trumpets: BHS Staff Lounge
Mellophones: BHS Makeup Room
Baritones/Trombones: BHS P2

Percussion: BHS Bandroom
Guard: BHS MPR
3:30pm Combined ASI/BHS Band rehearsal on field B1. Rehearse pre-game, pep tunes & Halftime togther.
5:00pm BHS Performs 2024 Show for ASI Bands.
5:15pm Eat pizza! (pizza will be provided at no cost)
6:00pm Leave the practice field and walk to the stadium with the BHS Band.
6:50pm Perform the Star-Spangled Banner with the BHS Band.
This time is approximate and depends on the football clock. It’s recommended that the family be in the stands by 6:30pm at the latest if you want to see the pre-game show. Family and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend but will need to purchase tickets ( click here to buy online or buy in person with cash only… they don’t take credit cards).
7:00pm Enter the stands with the BHS Band.
We’ll perform pep tunes with them for the 1st and 2nd quarters. During this time students must remain with the Band and may not leave to go sit with family or friends. Parents, BHS Band members are not allowed to eat while they’re performing, so please do not bring your kids food or drinks during the 1st half… they just ate pizza!
~Halftime Perform “Hooked On A Feeling’” with the Buchanan Band. (Approx. ~7:45pm~)
~After Halftime Walk back to the ASI Band room together.
Students may not remain at the game on their own and may not be signed out in the stadium… every student must bring their instrument back to the Bandroom and get signed out from the ASI MPR.
Having a parent's signature on the sign-out sheet is part of the participation grade for the performance!
~ 8:30pm Get back to the Band Room, put instruments away, and go to the MPR for sign-out.
This time is approximate and depends on when halftime ends. All students must have a parent sign them out in the ASI Multi-Purpose Room before they leave!
Parents who are attending the game should plan to follow the Band back to the ASI Bandroom so they can sign their child out, then return to the game if they’d like to watch the 2nd half.
For safety reasons, students will not be allowed to leave the ASI Bandroom/MPR to go look for their parents or to meet them back at the stadium on their own.
Students: Don’t forget to make sure that whoever picks you up knows where the ASI MPR is and knows that they need to come inside the room and sign you out!
Once you are signed out, you are free to go.
Buchanan Band Itinerary
2:00pm Section Leaders report to Bandroom. Get into uniform and travel to ASI together
2:45pm Report to Bandroom. Get into uniform.
3:30pm Combined BHS/ASI Band rehearsal on field B1. Rehearse Warm Ups, pre-game, and other songs with the ASI Band.
5:00pm BHS Performs 2024 Show for ASI Bands.
