Hawaii tour & Trip Survey

We are tentatively planning a trip to Hawaii for the Buchanan Symphony Orchestra in the Spring of 2022!
Please review the information presented below and complete the survey at the bottom. The information you provide in the survey will help us determine if this trip is feasible, whether we should consider revising the trip/destination, or if we should consider not traveling at all during the school year.
Please note:
While all Buchanan Orchestra students are encouraged to attend this trip, it will not be required. It will take a certain percentage of participation of our program to make this trip happen.
While the costs are higher for a trip of this nature, it is nearly all-inclusive, including meals and all transportation. There will be little to no out-of-pocket expenditures once we depart with the exception of souvenirs.
Financial hardship will not affect a student’s opportunity to participate. We will do everything possible to accommodate all who want to go.
There is still much up in the air regarding the status of COVID-19 restrictions. While everything seems to be headed in the right direction, things could change that would prevent us from taking this trip. Regardless, all necessary health and safety precautions will be taken.
The students’ safety is our number one priority. We are committed to providing the students a safe and life-changing experience. We will be utilizing a professional travel company to ensure the smoothest trip possible.

Trip Inclusions

(17) Meals included; they will be a variety of buffet, fast food, plated and/or pre-selected menus per the itinerary. For variety and convenience, money will occasionally be given in lieu of a pre- determined restaurant.

On the survey below, you will be able to indicate the trip price-point you are most comfortable with. Selecting an amount less than the full trip amount may not necessarily prevent us from going to Hawaii, but we need a majority of participants to pay the full $2,500.00 for a Hawaii trip to be possible. We may consider other destinations if the Hawaii trip isn’t financially supported.
No student will be denied the opportunity to participate in the trip due to financial hardship. Larger amounts of financial assistance place a greater financial burden on the instrumental music program, increasing the chances the trip will be canceled.
