General Trip Details

Student Transportation: Provided to and from the event via School Bus
Meals Provided/$ for Meals Needed: Eat breakfast before you arrive. Snack and water provided before the event and water provided during and after the parade!
Weather: Rain is forecasted for the day. We will plan for everything to proceed as normal until we receive word from parade officials.

Parade Location: Old Town Clovis (Map)
Parade Begins: 9:30am
Important Reminders
Transportation is provided to and from the event. Students will not be released from the parade and must be picked up at ASI/BHS when we return.
Wear SUNSCREEN. We will be outside for several hours.
Drink LOTS of water Friday night. Drink LOTS of water Saturday morning.
Eat a HEALTHY breakfast Saturday morning. Don’t skip breakfast!
We will provide water and a snack before the parade. Water will also be provided during and after the parade.
All students should arrive at their own Bandroom wearing their red BHS or ASI Instrumental Music t-shirt and jeans without holes in them that fit properly and are in CUSD dress code.
Shorts are okay as long as they’re in dress code! Khaki to dark-colored, hemmed, non-athletic shorts are preferred. Dark-colored athletic shorts or jean shorts are okay ONLY if that is all you have.
A long sleeve may be worn under the t-shirt if it’s cold and cloudy.
Please wear tennis/running shoes and with good socks that are appropriate to march in.
Wear SUNGLASSES if sunny.

8:30am Arrive/Unload/Warm Up/Snack & Water (Provided), Line Up (or whenever we are called)
9:30am Parade Begins
9:45am-10:00am Estimated Step Off time (We are Division 2, entry #201)
10:30am Estimated finish. Water provided. Line up at your bus and wait for a chaperone to mark attendance. Stack hats by your bus.
10:50am Load buses and depart
11:10am Estimated return time to BHS
*We are ultimately at the mercy of the flow of the parade. Please have your student contact you when we are on our way back to BHS for an accurate return time.
