For my first time away in another state far from home and family, this trip has been nothing but fun. Being able to tour the Palladium at the Center of Performing Arts was an amazing experience that allowed me to express my musical passion and open up my eyes to enthralling architecture. It was interesting to see the rooms dedicated to important people who helped make the building what it is, as well as the different levels of seating in the gallery. We also got to tour Carmel High School and preview one of their orchestra's sets of music. Their level of precision and instrumentation in their playing was impressive to listen to and watch, but they inspired me to be the best I can be in an orchestra or any group that requires sociality and teamwork. So far, Thursday of the Indy trip has provided me a chance to talk with and make new friends and experience a once-in-a-lifetime tour of where we'll be performing and watching an orchestra that can truly inspire others!
