Indianapolis Trip Day One

By Luke Phimphisane • Junior • Viola

This was my first time on a plane--as well as my first time being away from home for this long. Feeling the plane take-off of the runway was such a cool experience, but I'll admit, it was pretty much just the same as a very loud bus afterward. Besides that, I got to sit at the window and see the little houses of Clovis get smaller and smaller until we went above the clouds. The ride went by pretty fast, and it was only a few moments until we landed in Denver.

After flying above the snowy mountains, we landed at the Denver International Airport, which I just recently found out was the biggest airport in the US. If flying for the first time wasn't enough, I also got to walk on a moving sidewalk for the first time. Even though it seems a little trivial, I thought it was very cool. My friends and I quickly rushed to get food and make our way to the gate, where we boarded the plane that would take us the rest of the way to Indianapolis. Can't wait for the next few days ahead of us...
