The night that can’t be beat

I have always loved school dances, everyone gets along even for just one night you can let your guard down and connect with people. You get out of your comfort zone and just be you no barriers. That’s how I feel every time I get on the dance floor whether it be on a stage or at a school dance. So Saturday night’s social with no theme but harmony was so awesome. I walked in right as they were doing the cupid shuffle and immediately started dancing. But as soon as I started dancing with my friends, that’s when the real party began. Kids don’t know what they're capable of until someone gives them a little nudge, my nudge was dragging kids onto the dance floor. And Saturday night I would not have traded the night for anything, even ice cream. I got to see another side of my friends one where everyone was just there present in the moment of loud music, jumping up and down to the rhythm, clapping hands stomping feet, shuffling, dancing, and moving those feet. Dancing like there’s no tomorrow, being in the now not connected to the phone. If we could do it again we would but it wouldn’t be as magical as it was Saturday.
