Festival Details

Student Transportation: School Bus from BHS
Spectators: All daytime performances are open to the public, but there may be a fee for admission. Please check the festival website for more info.
Parking: There is a fee for parking at FCC.

Performer Attire
Buchanan Jazz Band: dress shoes (black socks only), slacks/dress pants/skirts (length must be past the knee), long-sleeve button-up dress shirts/blouses, or nice dresses (length must be past the knee). Coats/ties are optional. Leggings, jeggings, or yoga pants are not acceptable for concert attire. All students must be in CUSD Dress Code.
Alta Sierra Jazz Band: ASI Instrumental Music polo shirt, black dress-style shoes, black dress-style slacks with belt, and black socks (no white socks, please). All students must be in CUSD Dress Code.

Students bring their own instrument(s) and all accessories. Shared equipment coordination below. Verify that all equipment you need is on this list.
Itineraries By Band
BHS Jazz A and B
6:00am: Call time at BHS. Do not be late. Check in and load the bus with all equipment and music. We must leave on time.
6:15am: Depart for Fresno City College
6:45am: Arrive at Fresno City College. If time allows, we will walk to Kuppa Joy (1900 N Echo Ave, Fresno, CA 93704). Bring money if you would like to purchase a drink or baked treat.
7:35am: Jazz B Warm-up (MS 135). Jazz Band A students watch performances.
8:00am: Jazz B Performance (Theater)
8:25am: Jazz B Clinic (MS 104)
8:50am: Jazz A Warm-up (MS 135). Jazz Band B students watch performances.
9:15am: Jazz A Performance (Theater)
9:40am: Jazz A Clinic (MS 104)
10:05am: Load bus and depart
10:45am: Return to BHS and report to 3rd period.
ASI Jazz
8:30am - Attend periods 1 and 3 as usual. It would be easiest to come to school in concert attire.
12:30pm - Report to P2 with instruments and sheet music.
12:45pm - Board Bus
1:00pm - Depart for Fresno City College
1:30pm - Lunch at Fresno City College food court or food trucks. Please bring $10-$20 for lunch or a sack lunch from home. If you would like to have the Alta Sierra cafeteria provide a sack lunch, please notify Mr. Fredrickson by Friday, February 28.
2:40pm - Watch performances in the Theater.
4:00pm - Alta Sierra Jazz Band Warm-up (MS 135)
4:25pm - Alta Sierra Jazz Band Performance (Theater)
4:50pm - Alta Sierra Clinic (MS 104)
5:15pm - Load bus and depart.
6:00pm - Arrive at BHS.
